Info 3d Printed Chassis & Bodies
#61

Update on the steering option this is now available either as an option on existing chassis (WB dependent) or as an adjustable chassis as shown in previous post. Andy Broster who helped and inspired the development has kindly created a video of the new chassis in action complete with crash testing.

Little go do it project involved in recently.

MRRC guide for wood that takes modern 4mm braid and ferrules. Guide blade is 22mm long (matches our VIP guide) and 1.8mm thick. The guide has 2 slots as per the original MRRC to take the tang from the steering unit.

Something that has been on the workbench/CAD for while is the JGTC RX7. This is now available with rear wing, chassis & interior  (glazing to come later) with IL or AW pod and boxer or S can motors configurations.

Below is a WIP  (thanks go to Nigel for the pic) with its IL S can chassis.

Elsewhere in the 3dp section have been showing some pics of my Lola T333CS full width nose in its off the printer status, below is the finished article on its maiden race meeting at the Avon slot car club.

(Thanks to Danny for building this up for me).

Some compromises made in the design to get a slot car chassis under with AW boxer but it has the look of the full size car. The version shown is a wood track specific race version with lightweight carbon fibre body and chassis utilising a jet flag guide. Available now via the FB page or IM on this forum.

Thanks Bazzer.

Also in the works the later Lola 530VDS.

I started designing the T333 first that sort of meandered around whilst trying to work out the CAD geometry, so started the 530VDS then car parked that in favour of going back to the T333 as it would be easier to park the AW boxer chassis under...

Will get back to the 530 at some point and redo the cockpit rear and intake as the T333 came out a lot better in that area so can apply the lessons learnt back into the 530.

Cheers
