GT3 round five - Norwich
#1

The GT3 cars are treading on the toes of the all-out sports/gt cars in lap times, if you are  Jim Kelly that is. He managed a scorching 6.053 lap in the heats, but even that wasn't as fast as his own lap record. The rest of us were happy with the middle sixes.

It was lovely to welcome Ian Redhead who normally races at Presto Park. He plans to race at Norwich on an irregular basis after coming to see us on our Open Day at the weekend.

The C final saw Peter Rix edge away from Mark Grieves while Kate did the same to Ian who got quicker as the evening progressed. Kate was too good for him on the night though.

The C final had one of those races that always seems to involve Paul Hassall, this time against Andy Taylor. It was resolved in Paul's favour with a frantic sprint over the line. By that time Keith had already won. Peter was fourth.

In the A final Jim quickly got into a lead he was never to lose but Ralph stayed on the same lap and kept him honest. This evening saw steady Ralph with no de-slots. Just my luck because he beat me for third with Keith fourth.

Next week its Sports/GT in the anti-clockwise direction.
