GENERAL COMMENTS
I don't expect to be running another proxy of the era period again, so it's now or never.
I am hopeful we will see some great models presented, I have tried to tailor this proxy around those who had preferred a modelling or "Master build class" to be included (like the earlier International proxies of the past). Again this is probably going to be a one off because of proxy era.
The cars will need some careful racing, so I would ask hosts to set their tracks at 10volts max.

Graham, there's two cars on your list dated 1966, one is the Broadspeed Mini which according to Wiki, was introduced in 1966 which of course is after the cutoff time for this proxy.
The other is the Imp which was first raced shortly after it's introduction 1963.
Life is like a box of Slot cars...

I think because this is likely to be the only proxy series where those cars could be entered I am going to keep them in as “ invited cars” they are not likely to present a unfair challenge to the other Mini type cars which this Event was intended.

Hi guys,
I am sorry,
I think I have made the mistake of trying to be politically correct and getting nowhere. So I will suspend this one whilst I try to work out the best way to salvage the proxy.
There was also some aspects which I think on reflection were minority ones and not likely to appeal across the board, so a re-think is necessary.
Hopefully in the next week I can re-launch a more apealling alternative proxy.

I had originally planned the Proxy as an Early 60's era, with a later 60's period proxy to follow, but as time went on it seemed to have morphed into various cross over issues due to trying to fit cars into Events which on reflection looks very messy, and off putting (even to me).
Also the " Master Build Class" concept, whilst at the time seemed like a good idea based on the older (IPS) does not seem to have generated any real enthusiam as I hoped it might have from outsiders.
Basically we need enough entrants to make it work, due to the rising costs of transporting the cars, and to have enough cars to make it worth running for the hosts and associated host club members to give up their time.
So to try and clear away the "fog"
It will now become a Racing the 60's Proxy (not just early 60's), and I will drop the Construction classification of the classes (but still no procars)
So we wil have
Event 1 - Hard Top GT's (1960-1969)
Class A (Early 1960-1964)
Class B ( Late 1965-1969)
Event 2 - Sports Prototypes (1960-1969)
Class C (Early prototypes 1960-1964)
Class D ( Late prototypes 1965-1969)
Event 3 Saloon Cars (1958-1969)
Class E (Under 2.0 Litre Cars 1958 -1969)
Class F (Over 2.0 Litre Cars 1958-1969)
Event 4 F1/Indy cars (Rear Engine) 1960-1969
Class G (Early F1/Indy Cars 1960-1965)
Class H (Late F1/Indy cars 1966-1969)
As far as I have been made aware, those entrants who have started car builds will fit into the appropriate competitive Classes without any changes to the Class Technical Rules. But effectively with this re-structure we can additionally have an Over 2.0 litre Saloon car Class F, and a 1966-1970 Class for single seaters F1/Indy Cars Class H
The motor choice and Technical Rules will be the same apart from the provision to add the new Classes as mentioned above.
All the associated documents will need to be revised, but hopefully this will give a more inclusive proxy for everyone.

I have edited the Final Technical Rules, the Registration document and Poster and lead titles accordingly.
However there is most likely something not absolutely correct with the changes made at the moment.
So I will leave the proxy suspended for a few days until I had a chance to review the changes several times myself.
Hopefully everyone can live with this.

OK, so having moved things about abit and made some changes to the dimensional limits specific for the new Class structure, I believe we are OK.
So the changes made are:
There is no "Masterbuild" Event Classes, although we will still have the overall "Spirit of the Proxy" Concorse Award.
Instead the Events 1,2 & 4 are split into Classes for either Early/late 60's cars or in the case of Event 3 Under/Over 2.0 Litre Saloon/Sedans. A winner for each Class (no runners up awards).
So PLEASE READ THE REVISED RULES before continuing with your builds.
Good luck!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
For purely personal reasons I have decided to take a break after the current proxy finishes between the summer and end of the year.
This will provide an extended period for those who want more time to Register and prepare their cars, and I know that some entrants are well under way with their projects so this will give them some additional bonus time.
