I know I am easily pleased and should probably get out more but:-
I was looking for something in my computer settings recently and came across some additional controls for the mouse pointer, specifically the colour thereof. Now I have always thought that you could only have a black one or a white one which means that various background colours on the screen make the pointer virtually invisible.
Step forward 'inverted colour scheme'. Now the pointer turns black on a white background, white on a black one, red on a blue one and so on. No more lost pointers.
Apologies if I am teaching my Grandmother to suck eggs here but I have been using computers for over 30 years and never knew you could do this till last week.

I've not changed a pointer for donkeys years as the novelty wore off as Windows 98 died

On the Mac, you can just shake the mouse and the pointer enlarges so it's visible just about anywhere.
About computer mice! I assume that most people under 65 will probably think the mouse went out with the dinosaurs. Ronnie's new Macbook Air has what is generally described as the best trackpad on the market. I hate the damned thing, it's just not user friendly and requires all sorts of fiddling to get it to do anything useful. I use the laptop with a USB mouse and adapter. Probably buy her a bluetooth one but the batteries dying rather annoys.
My Mac has a mouse and that's the way it's going to stay!

The latest Microsoft flop has been 'Cortana'. Presumably like the Paperclip hardly anyone used it.

The #1 most annoying computer 'thing' that's being foisted upon us is 'AI' something or other, maybe it p*sses me off because I'm of a generation born with a working brain
