oh now you have gone and opened a can of worms :)
Do you have a thread on the track covering?

No GT40...the vinyl covering is something that I figured on my plexiglas setup block...I inadvertently moved the rear end of a car sideways on the block, and the resistance was considerable greater than painted MDF. My track is 75' long, so I got on Amazon and bought a 100' roll of clear, self adhesive vinyl. I applied it over the track, then cut out the copper tape, and slots, pealed the vinyl off, and ran a car. My fastest time was 8.1 seconds on MDF...well, I shaved a full second off!
