My latest project, a birth year car for display

Bought in a real state for peanuts but slowly restoring into a box fresh condition

Several bits are in paint, being stripped of paint, new decals ordered along with a set of proper wheel and tyres.

One of the cars from my youth - we never had lots of money and my single toy as a kid was Scalextric - and every gift I got HAD to be a new car = LOL - dang the addiction has stuck.
Racing this car this weekend in Lens vintage meeting.

Post weekend update

Got everything that needed painting done, decals applied and a shine coat put on the body and stripped the Powersledge, cleaned up as much as possible and reassembled.

All parts have now been attached and just waiting on adhesive drying before final assembly (after a bit of research the C8A came with a different wheel type to the C8 so if anyone wants a full set of new RUSC chrome wheels and tyres let me know)

Also received one of the reproduction boxes from an Ebay supplier that this shelf queen will reside in when it's finished.
