The rear valance is part of the standard Revoslot “body parts”  as supplied, so in my proxy they are expected to be fitted. If the chassis is too close fitting, then up to 1mm of the valance can be sanded off to allow for body float. The factory fitted interior can be replaced with the equivalent Revoslot lightweight part.
I fixed all of the above…. And after kit bashing 3 different GT2s, I have 1 ready to go.  Everything is flat, straight, aligned, glued, trued, squared and mildly lowered but still higher than 1.5mm.   I had no idea these cars sat sooo high until I measured.

My proposed cars for the proxy

The Avant Lotus Elise for GT1 was a particular favourit buy for me for last year, so this may be the opportunity to let it shine.
The Revoslot Marcos for GT2 has been in service once before, so should not need much work done on it.
And finally the Carrera Bentley EXP Speed 8, for the LMP/Group C, (had to brush the dust off the box for this shelf queen) but having done such a successful job my previous Carrera conversion " De Tomaso GP5" car, I think this will be a noble project for this otherwise static slot car.

Looks like a good set of cars Kev, I have one of those Scaley Saubers and did consider using it in this proxy.

i am almost positive i saw somewhere that you were intending to enter a scally LeMans car
think it was a Jag . hence the merc entry
thought it might like a running mate  Heart
originally only intended to run the Revo's
but my problem is that i always get cars ready too early . then with rule changes and my own tinkering i just make things run worse hehehe

You did read correctly, a Scaley Jag XJR9...but ended up resurrecting a Ninco BMW LM V12

Fly Corvette C5R build.

You never get a 3D chassis perfect first time no matter how well you measure, print one, see what needs tweaking (usually the wheelbase and extremities of the chassis as I like a chassis to fit properly)

The chassis in the pics is MK2...MK3 final is in the box (the body mounts had to be moved inwards nearly 2mm and the guide is moved forwards 4mm)
