Toronto Slot Car Flea Market Sept 28-2024
#1

If anyone is curious as to where I get my static models from... This show happens twice a year in Toronto. It also has a few slot cars available.

There are usually about 50-vendors. We had 360+ customers walk through our doors last March.

There's also a model car competition. The theme for this show is "Fins N' Spoilers". It's always a good show.

It's just a short swim away. Quicker by plane.

Hello Ken
I don't see any model railway stuff?   In the UK these Swap Meets are usually dominated by railway and diecast traders and fans. The pictures bring back memories of wishing that the plastic kits were 1/32 scale and not that annoying 1/24 and 1/25 scale. Back in the day there used to be 2 hobby shops in Leith (Edinburgh) which sold Revell, MPC and other North American kits. The larger models meant that my pocket money didn't all get spent in them.

Thankfully Roger Barker has started to sell at a "Toy Fair" near me so I enjoy a morning spent there although Sci-Fi stuff now features heavily also.  Searching the general stalls usually finds something cheap and cheerful in 1/32 scale to add to the enjoyment.

Hi Leo,

Not one spec of trains there. This flea market is organized by a model car building club. If you don't have cars, you can't buy a table.

In the first post. Pics #1 through #4 are 1/25 model kits. I turn them into slot cars anyways so I'm okay with that.

Pic #5 is nice retired couple that specializes in 1/32 cars, and body kits. They carry some vintage 1/32 stuff. I always buy something there.

In the second post. The first 2-pics are mostly 1/32 slot cars. HO cars are hiding in the plastic boxes beside the pizza boxes.

Third pic is one of the tool suppliers. (Flex-i-foil)

Pic #4 is 1/32 again.

Pics #5 and 6 are all HO.

Kevan. I have a spare bed in the basement if you ever visit Toronto for a flea market.  Thumbup
