My apologise to LeManx (not Bangers Racing) who came 3rd, I must have made a mistake on the name on the Record sheets, which I will correct for the next Round.

Thanks for running the event Wye Valley. Motor scraping along the rails...objection milud!

(And has someone got the missing rear spoiler off my Mclaren? That's why it's lacking grip Phil)

I love puttering with gears

Surprisingly your McLaren was not one the offending cars, regarding the contact with the rails.

Wavegreen Good evening,
the SCOREBOARD has been updated.

This round did raise a couple of magnetic traction issues regarding the cars with low slung motors touching the track rails, so we are working with the entrants with a view to correct these. Our host is willing to try and raise the motors inside the motor mounts for the Toyota Supra & Marcos LM600 which appeared to cause most concern.

Wavegreen Good Morning,
Many thanks to the Wye Valley Slot Car Club for running the 2nd Round, it certainly gave us some interesting results. So well done to them, next week we look at sending the cars onto the next host on Mountain View's home based Policar Track.

Round 2
Pitlane Review
As expected the different track and format used gave us some new Podium results. There was however some unexpected issues with track clearance of two of the cars, one of which is running under concession (but with time penalties) the other was deemed as (just about) legal when the scrutineering was carried out.
It is of great concern that the motors bottoming out on the track contact rails could cause damage to controllers etc, so action is necessary to try to rectify the situation.
I have asked Phil at Wye Valley in agreement with the entrants to look at these cars to see if the motor position within the motor mounts can be adjusted to raise the motor level with the motor mount. If so and additionally if they then pass the track clearance requirements they could avoid additional penalty allocations.

Overall Results after Round 2

Sports Cars (Group 5)
Joint 1st Place - Le Manx /BMW M1 & Bangers Racing/ Ferrari 512BB (35 pts)
3rd Place - Savage GT/ BMW M1 (17 pts)

1st Place - LeManx / Porsche 917k (35pts)
2nd Place - RoadRunners / Ford GT40 (28pts)
3rd Place - ALS Racing /Ferrari 412P (26pts)
An even closer battle emerging here, BARacers Porsche not quite working so well on this track but still very much in contention. Absolutely delighted with the Ford GT40 getting top spot, I will relish the moment  Sun

1st Place - Harrison's Racers / Toyota Supra (35pts)
2nd Place - ModSports / Ferrari 550 (28pts)

Class A Constructed Cars
1st Place - ModSport /Aston Martin DB9 (31pts)
