It's just putting the idea out there at the moment, feedback so far is good but as Graham said earlier it's an idea to mull over for a future proxy.

The way I look at it, I think if you cover all the Range of models, then your more likely to get more entrants as people will have different preferences, if you limit it just to eg GT2 then you won’t attract people with the other Revoslot models. And you probably won’t know which is the most popular type until you float the idea.
I would not expect folks to go out and buy models they don’t want to, just because it’s a proxy.
If someone wants to enter just one type of model, then that’s fine, each Event in the proxy is separate and we get to have more fun running different models.
You’re really not going to get the kind of numbers you see in the US for these proxies here, unless you make it an international event. Something I try to resist.

If you post it on HRW, a few will join in if you feel there will be spots on the grid.

Yes I think that is a good idea, as there is at least a familiarity with running the Revoslot proxies there over the last couple of years.
My only concern with posting on separate forums is that I you are obliged to follow up with all the news updates, racing reports, results etc. And as you know running these proxies on one is quite time consuming without repeating everything again elsewhere.
But there is plenty of time to think about this, and I kind of think that I should ask those we already know who continue to support our proxies whether they would want to support this or another proxy theme.

With all this talk about Revos on a couple of forums I decided to spend a few hours looking at one I've had for probably two years but never raced as I wasn't happy with it.
The base car is a Supra, stock everything.
There's a great chart over on HRW showing what parts were used in
the 'last Revo GT2 Proxy' looking at the data on that chart shows some tuners are experimenting with different height brass 'suspension' nuts.
...I've been trying something along the lines of the longer suspension nuts...and like what's happening
The other thing to notice is the weights of the cars, there's over 20g difference across the cars so that's something else I've tried...and like what's happening here too

I think because of the cost of them, probably a fairly standard set up set of rules apart from choice of tyres might be best to attract newcomers into it.
I had it mind to offer a couple of alternative themes for the Autumn proxy next year, so Revoslot could be one of them.
My Revoslot cars appear to be more of a value than any of my normal slot cars.

I believe that a Revoslot only Proxy would not necessarily work for me, although quite happy to join in if anyone else wanted to initiate one.
However I have formed an idea which involves the Revoslot cars which I think would appeal to most of our regulars.
As usual there will be a vote mid year to decide on the theme but there will be a Revoslot Event in either option.

My proposal wasn't a Revo only proxy, it was a Revo Event as one of 2 or 3 other Events within a proxy. I have said this a couple of times in this thread as it's obviously not going to appeal to all of our regular proxy members.
