Info from a couple of Facebook groups - a heads up on a scammer who has been defrauding people for some six months now.
LINK
It is probably not her real identity but she advertises in Marketplace the same selection of Scalextric cars again and again for a ridiculously low price, gets people to pay by PayPal 'friends and family', never delivers the goods and blocks them the minute they complain. I believe she is running a similar scam with Hornby trains. It has been reported many times but Facebook allows it to continue. Numerous people who should know better have fallen for it.
As always, if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is!

Thanks for the heads up.
Can't anyone make a public statement asking "So. How many people have you ripped off so far?"

Thanks for the heads up, think I've seen that advert on Ebay as well (where at least you'd have some financial protection)

At least on ebay everyone has feedback ratings, I avoid anyone with negative or near zero feedback.

Ebay +PayPal and a good seller history. Minimum.
Never accept that a seller can blame the courier for your goods not turning up.
It is a seller's responsibility to get your goods to you.
Only once has a seller tried to rip me off.
It took time, but paypal forced the refund even though the seller closed their eBay and paypal accounts.

This scammer operates solely on Facebook Marketplace, not on eBay which is a relatively safe place to buy stuff with multiple buyer protections in place. Marketplace is the wild west and Facebook shows no inclination to police it whatsoever. Caveat emptor.
