MSCC Slot Rally 2023
#11

Rally reports - 23rd November - TT Grandstand & Little Druidale -

20 cars on the Rally stages tonight

STANDARD CLASS

7 Standard Class cars tonight, a good turnout with four in 2WD and one each in Small Classic, 80’s and 4WD.

2WD class had cars from Scaley, Fly & Ninco and all fairly closely matched.

Kev’s Abarth 131 and Chris’s Ford Puma making their first competitive appearance…and both needing a couple of marshals helping hands.

PROSTOCK CLASS

11 ProStocks tonight with all five classes represented.  2WD the most popular with five cars, three Classic Class and one each in Small Classic, 80’s and 4WD.

The 2WD cars were all different, normally expecting a few NSR’s tonight was only one.

Of the three Classics, one NSR, one Scaleauto and a resurrected Scaley on a 3D chassis.

All these cars have been seen before, a lot of them featuring high up in the overall comparison chart which isn’t a surprise as they go so well.

OPEN CLASS

With Andy away off island there were only two Open Class cars, Brian’s Metro and Kev’s Aston Martin.

One thing that’s noticeable with our Slot Rally is the huge diversity of cars and chassis, when you look at other clubs Slot Rally there’s usually a few of the same cars because there’s a superior model (SRC Porsche 914/6 springs to mind).

Next week is Saloons and Sports…on the newly painted (GRIPPY!) track.

Life is like a box of Slot cars... Cool Drinkingcheers
