Rally Cars Slotting Proxy 2023 - Car Builds
#41

The replacement has been built this evening from leftover parts.   I hope this one makes the cut AND arrives in time. It’s been fully tested on the kitchen table. I will ship first thing in the morning.

Thanks Kevan and we will see.  No testing = no silver and #33.  And it’s beautiful just the way it is.  We will learn a lot from this car for future proxies.  It’s on a mix of goodies and parts I’ve never used together. CBD Wheels, I’ve never raced on a podded car along with Scaleauto pod and body screws.  I broke the pod I had originally planned on using so we will see how this one works out. Also Im penalized on the interior as there’s only a driver.  I didn’t plan on multiple Rally Cars.

My pair which should have now arrived at rally HQ:

My little Austin Healey, just back from it's world trip in the International Proxy Series. Now converted to rally spec, shod with rubber tyres, suspension, different guide and a co-driver. Unfortunately having a co-driver meant converting it to left hand drive, as that was the only interior I could source in time.  It's a fun little car so I'm intrigued to see how it'll get on in a rally.

I was planning to enter a RS200 for the other class, but I'm going to need that for the club rally cross rounds next month.  So in it's place is the all too familiar Pantera. To be fair, I've been waiting for a rally proxy to enter this into since I got it. She's had a quick tidy up internally and the original interior has find it's way back in. I left the lighting kit in because, well, lights are cool... She's looking a bit dog-eared and battered since she got back from her last outing so she's not going to win any beauty contests; but hopefully she's still got it where it counts. Could be her last outing before a well deserved retirement? We'll see...

I have a home series Pantera and it's a superb standard class car but I've not driven an R-series but there are one or two in the club.

...looking forward to driving the big Healey  Thumbup

We run Scaleauto GT3 Home series as a club class and I really enjoy them. They're great looking cars and they're rapid when they're running well. We have had issues with chassis cracks/guide cracking as the home series bits can be a bit brittle. Somethings the wheels can be an issue too. I love them though
