Raid Car de-briefing (Round 3)

it was definitely a challenge too far for some vehicles but for others it provided an opportunity to shine
R1 (Ninco)
Notably Andy's BMW X5 which just beat Mike's Bowler by 2 seconds on the combined 2 runs to get 1st place. A bit of a gap with again a close call between the two Montero's just giving Qman's car the 3rd Place.

R2 (SCX)
Here Paul's Touareg had an outstanding run, then a gap before James Montero in 2nd followed by Oxo's Touareg, at last beginning to shine in 3rd on the podium. The Sandbuggy of Andy's just got bogged down on the steep hills

R3 (Pro-cars)
Hoptlap's Lancer grabing 1st place with a 7 sec lead, over 2nd place Makem's Lancer, RoadRunners having to settle for 3rd plave on this Round.

R4 (Open)
Rosberg's Odyssey making it look easy over over the hills some 13 seconds faster than 2nd place Pajero of Savage GT, with the AA Transit comfortably in 3rd.
Both the Datsun and the Citroen really could not cope, and went off multiple times with  the "hump"  Rofl

So overall after this Round
R1 (Ninco)
Too close to call with 3 cars jointly in 1st position.
Paul - Mitsubishi Montero
Qman - Mitsubushi Montero
Andy - BMW X5

R2 (SCX)
1st Place - Paul - VW Touareg
2nd Place - James - Mitsubishi Montero
3rd Place - Andy - Sandbuggy Thunderflash
Andy's losing his 1st placing to Paul on this difficult challenge.

R3 (Pro-cars)
1st Place - RoadRunners - Porsche 959
2nd Place - Hotlap - Mitsubishi Lancer
3rd Place - Makem - Mitsubishi Lancer
The little Porsche of the RoadRunners just holding onto 1st place, with Hotlap in "hot pursuit"

R4 (open)
1st Place - RoadRunners - Odyssey 21
2nd Place - Savage GT - Mitsubishi Pajero
3rd Place - AA Recovery Van
With RoadRunners Rosberg making easy work of the last round, the are beginning to break away from the battle for 2nd position between the Pajero of Saage GT and the AA Recovery Team's Transit

Raid Car De-briefing Round 4
A completely different track surface for these cars to run on, the sandpaper like surface giving many cars too much grip and making them tippy, others finding their feet on this Challenge.

Class R1 (Ninco)
Makem's Bowler had a very good round this time coming 1st, with the Mitsubishi Pajero of AA Recovery 4 secs later and Gpa113's Touareg not much longer in 3rd.
Mike's Bowler found it particularly hard running coming last.

Class R2 ( SCX)
James Montero loved this Round coming 1st, with Andy's Thunderflash 4 sec later, and into 3rd palce. Paul's Touareg just beating Hotlaps Peugeot 405.

Class R3 (Pro-cars)
RoadRunners Porsche 959 just kept ahead of 2nd place Top Downs Hummer which seems to have found its best form since the start of the series, with Hoplaps Mitsubishi Lancer not far behind in 3rd.

Class R4 ( Open)
you guessed it, RoadRunners Odyssey "running away" again with 1st place, not far behind was the AA REvovery Van, and 3rd the Pajero of Savage GT which seemed to suffer a little on this one. Again a poor day for the Datsun of Oxo Cube and the Citroen 2CV of Qman with more "offs" than could be easily counted.

So after all that running at Wye Valley we have the combined results

Class R1 (Ninco)
Ist place - Any - BMW X5
2nd - Paul - Mitsubishi Montero
Joint 3rd Qman Mitsubishi Montero and Makem's Bowler.
All very too close to call, could be a photo finish in this one.

Class R2 (SCX)
1st Place - James Mitsubishi Montero
2nd Place - Paul's -Touareg
3rd Place -Andy's Sandbuggy Thunderflash
Again everyone seemingly takin a turn at leading this class.

Class 3 (Pro -cars)
1st Place - RoadRunners - Porsche 959
2nd Place - Hotlap's -Mitsubishi Lancer
3rd Place - Markem's Mitsubishi Lancer
RoadRuners Porsche had a better run on this last Round, so have marginally extended their lead again, with the two Lancers of Hotlap and Makem not far behind 2nd and third.

Class R4 (open)
1st Place - RoadRunners - Odyssey 21
joint 2nd place - Savage GT Pajero & AA Recovery van.
RoadRunners drawing away from the 2nd place cars, but will it last ......

So next the cars are being sent all the way down to Brighton for the next Round 5
