Moto GP set question
#1

Hi,
I've got the chance to buy some track off someone and how do I tell if it is compatible with my Moto GP set?

My numbers on the back of my set are CB N B etc and the bits I'm looking at are xn xb xc xnnb xd xr xe.

The person said they had bikes on it so I'm guessing they will link to mine.
Is there a specific way of telling or should I just compare from pics?

Sorry for the dumb question.

Cheers

Tony

Tony - there are no dumb questions here...

I put this together a few years ago to cross-reference the letter underneath, catalogue number and description for each Scalextric Sport track piece...
  • A = C8217 Analogue Powerbase
  • B = C8205 Standard Straight 350mm
  • C = C8206 Radius 2 Standard Curve 45 degree
  • CB = C8296 Radius 2 Banked Curve 45 degree
  • D = C8207 Half Straight 175mm
  • E = C8203 Radius 2 Racing Curve Crossover 90 degree
  • F = C8200 Quarter Straight 87mm
  • G / H = C8246 Side Swipe Straights
  • J = C8201 Radius 1 Hairpin Curve 90 degree
  • K = C8202 Radius 1 Standard Curve 45 degree
  • L / M = C8211 Leap Straight Up / Down
  • N = C8204 Radius 3 Standard Curve 22.5 degree
  • NNB = C8297 Radius 3 Banked Curve 45 degree
  • P = C8210 Straight Crossover 90 degree
  • R = C8222 Classic - Sport Conversion Straight 175mm
  • S = C8235 Radius 4 Standard Curve 22.5 degree
  • T = C8236 Short Straight 78mm
  • U = C8234 Radius 2 Standard Curve 22.5 degree
  • V = C8278 Radius 1 Standard Curve 22.5 degree
  • W = C8295 Elevated Crossover
Scalextric Border codes
  • BL = C8279 R1 inner
  • BJ = C8260 R1 outer
  • BC = C8225 R2 inner 45-degree
  • BD = C8228 R2 outer 45-degree
  • BM = C8280 R2 inner 22.5-degree
  • BG = C8239 R2 outer 22.5-degree
  • ?? = C7019 R3 single-lane outer
  • BN = C8281 R3 inner
  • BB = C8224 R3 outer
  • BP = C8282 R4 inner
  • BH = C8238 R4 outer
  • BA = C8223 half straight border
  • BE / BF = C8233 lead in / lead out straight borders
  • BS / BT = Borders for digital pit lane entry / exit
  • BK / BR = Borders for C8210 90-degree straight crossover LH / RH
I'm almost certain the track you're being offered is not compatible with the Scalextric Sport track in your Moto GP set. Not sure what it is - someone else my able to help there... Could be modern SCX (Spanish Scalextric track), which is quite different.

Hi Andy,
Thank you very much for this, it is very handy.
I'm going to get them to send me a pic and they aren't too far from me so I'll take a piece of mine to check if they'll allow me to.
Cheers
