Gordon, maybe it feels more realistic if you would imagine that your cars are running rich. Bigsmile
Take care not dropping your cars on the floor during testing.
Fitting a safety barrier is maybe the best job to do now???

A bit late Tease

As the offcuts were a bit narrow, the track doesn't allow much in the way of fishtailing! A couple of cars have already tried to commit suicide on the infield so I'm just making some 'temporary' infills out of card to catch the unwary.

I was demolishing and old wardrobe we found in one of the lofts yesterday (you wouldn't believe the amount of crap they left for us, one of the conditions of the purchase is that it's all cleared out of course!!) and there were two nice big verneered chipboard panels as  the back. Sliced up it makes decent barriers for the track. Still need to find something more flexible for the raised sections though, not sure what to use. The curves are too tight for this stuff or hardboard.

Some neatening up still to do!! A pics of the power supply for Anthony in there!

Shame they weren't IKEA Billy wardrobes, those structural backing panels are nice and thin and very flexible!

I love puttering with gears

As soon as we get our car back from the garage, we are going to look at kitchens and bathrooms in Leroy Merlin and IKEA in Caen. I wonder if the do the panels separately?

Not sure of availability in your location but we used flexy plywood on the new Oakland's Park track.

Ours bought locally in Birmingham cut by the supplier into 6" wide strips.

Thanks Eddie, I'll have a look and see if the French have such a thing. Getting stuff from the UK has gone to pot!

That is a tight fit!
Maybe an idea:
With extended legs under the table you could even widen your racetrack to the windscreen wipers of your A6. Bigsmile
