HO stuff

Which Hot Wheels did you harvest this little lot from please Ken?
Quote

Hi Top Down,

I had a bunch of old cars from the early 2000's. 32, 33, and 34 Fords work great. All slightly different too. The 32 Ford is the most complete engine.

32 Ford.

33 and 34 Ford.

There's a flat head hiding under the hood of this Hooligan.

Then there's the fantasy cars that have all sorts of nonsense like the Hammered Coupe (purple car). The Surf Crate has the crazy wide side-pipes. The new style Deora has the cool yellow and black surf boards. No more surf boards on new Hot Wheels anymore due to kids eating them up, yum. Get them while you can.

If you're looking to install a blower and scoop on the hood of a car. This 57 Chevy with the ugly extended nose is the best doner.

Cheers,
Ken

I used to have a 7'-foot HO drag-race test track in the basement (12'-foot total length with shut-down area). It helped me figure out the T-jet style chassis.

It had to be taken down for renovations before more testing could be done. The floor was not very level, so new concrete was poured.

The new hallway floor is now level from one end to the other. It measures 24'-feet, 3"-inches.

Looking the other way. The workshop is 12' x 15'. A catch-box can fit in the workshop if needed.

Ideas are brewing. The new drag-race track has to be made in 3 x 8'-foot sections that can be lifted off the floor, and set on a shelf on the left wall where the old track used to reside.

Max Trax is nice if I could afford to ship it into Canada. I may need to invent something.

Meanwhile, the basement renovation continues.

Nice area for a 1/64 1/4 mile strip, Ken. Perfect for hosting proxy drags....... Idea Cool

BTW speaking of harvesting hot wheels parts. the 64 Nova Gasser wagon is a cool source for injector stacks. I hacksawed them off one and glued and pinned them on a ragged old body I was attempting to make an Altered out of. Injectors came out cool......the rest...not so much. Thinking on cutting the scoop off the AW willys coupe and replacing with injector stacks.

Hi Tjetter,

Bill mixes things up with these engines. He cuts them up and makes new ones.  Thumbup
