I'm tinkering with rebuilding chassis under some poorly running AW cars.
Among other things. It sure makes an improvement when you install Vincent wheels on a 59 Chevy bubble top.
The original front nail/axle was used so one wheel had to be drilled out. It's hard to keep the nice center if you want independent front wheels.
Thank you kindly for looking.

It's hard to refuse a good deal when you see one. These 58-Plymouth Fury bodies were $10 each painted from Andrew at SlotNStuff. A few 4-gear rear hubs were also purchased.
The yellow body lasted 5-minutes before a chassis went under it. An impatient little thing. A relative to the ghost of "Christine"?
As I'm getting to know Andrew at SlotsNStuff. What do I see on his site? A familiar name.
This track is on the SlotsNStuff website titled as "Andy Player - Rock County Raceway, Brighton, UK."
It's amazing what you can find out there. Very cool.

Hello El Camino Bill,
I humbly thank you. I've got a long way to catch up to everyone else.
But then everyone stays ten, or one hundred cars ahead of me.

A few cars got upgrades. Some cars got added.
Th Riviera was worthy of new wheels/tires.
A GTO or two were added.
The Buick GSX also got an upgrade.
Thank you very kindly for looking.

The 2019 MS class of cars has been eluding me for proxy drag-racing. But things are slowly coming together.
I painted a 1970 Mustang resin body, and didn't use primer. The learning curve continues.
The chassis got a few minor upgrades.
I'm not going to clear coat the pebble finish. It is what it is.

Just asking, why didn't you use a primer ?

Hi Nico,
No problem. I've successfully painted over fifty 1/32 cars without primer. This little one got away on me. I've been spoiled by styrene plastic.
Most of the guys in my 1/32 club drool over my paint. The "scratch build" section has about half my 1/32 builds there. They are several pages back since I got into HO.
Cheers,
Ken

Nico,
Porsche 904 for your viewing pleasure.
As it came from the seller.
Stripped of paint.
Base coat, no primer.
Clear coat.
The completed car.
No primer was used on this old Aurora body.
Cheers,
Ken
