Team Slot releases for January 2021
#1

Team Slot have a new Lancia Delta and three X-Pack Escorts due to arrive in the UK next month. We only have pictures of the actual cars at the moment...

Team Slot 12906 Lancia Delta HF Martini - Winner Monte Carlo Rally 1987 - Miki Biasion / Tiziano Siviero. RRP £55.99. Expected January 2021

Another very desirable Martini-liveried car, this time the car that won on the Delta HF 4WD's WRC debut in the first rally of the post Group B era - Biasion leading home Kankunnen for a Lancia 1-2.

A new car for Team Slot is the Ford Escort RS2000 X-Pack. It's a new chassis and a new mould for the body - everything a little longer and wider than the 'standard' RS2000 to show off the authentic Zakspeed-inspired factory upgrade. First seen as the sensational UK-exclusive limited edition Jamie Gough Martini race car, these are the first three 'regular' releases, all expected to be available in the UK sometime during January.

Team Slot 13003 Ford Escort RS2000 X-Pack 'Diamond White'. Special edition racing version with lightweight interior, fast motor and alloy rear wheels. RRP £57.99. Expected January.

Team Slot 13002 Ford Escort RS2000 X-Pack 'Daytona Yellow'. RRP £49.99. Expected end of January.

Team Slot 13001 Ford Escort RS2000 X-Pack 'Venetian Red'. RRP £49.99. Expected January.

A big thank you - and a Merry Christmas - to Steve at Staffs Slot Cars UK, who provided photos and release details. I am looking forward to seeing more of Team Slot's plans for 2021 - and I am sure Steve will keep us up to date with all the news.

A Merry Christmas to Steve and his family from me too.

Andy, I am sure there are, together with you, many other slot car enthousiasts, who are looking forward to seeing more of Team Slot's plans for 2021.
Needless to say, I am also extremely curious.
Their Monte 1987 winning Lancia Delta 4WD is a must for all slot rally fans.

Love the Mk2 Escorts!

Wonder how I can sneak one past the person that thinks I'm obsessed?  Bigsmile

That's easy. Buy two different colours. Then gift wrap both cars and give the other car to the other person. Claim they are a matched set.

You might get two cars out of the deal. Checkeredflag

Or, get the other person started in the hobby.  Thumbup

With the ongoing Covid problems in Spain, the delivery of the these January cars has been delayed a little. The good news is that the first two models are on their way, due to arrive with the UK distributor tomorrow. This is the first post-Brexit shipment from Team Slot, so Steve and the Staffs Slot Cars team are understandably a little nervous.

These pictures were sent from Team Slot earlier this week...

The two RS2000 X-Pack models are available to pre-order at all the usual Team Slot stockists, so yours can be on their way to you the moment they are unpacked from the crate.

I spoke to Steve last week and Teamslot have had a few mundane issues in Spain which have held things up. This is one of several cars that should be with us ‘soon’. Steve will less us know when they are on their way.

I ordered mine via Time Tunnel Models and they recently asked if I wanted to cancel.  (obvs, I said "no")
