We’ve decided to return to 1MB for one reason. Backward compatibility.
Obsolescence is a dirty word and affects people’s investments in a product and it destroys trust.
It was an interesting exercise and not an expensive one. 20 minutes to change and 20 minutes to change back. It does give us however an avenue to explore should we max out current data transfer.
Look at it more of an R&D exercise.
