Mountain Pass Raceway - Millertime82 - 22nd-Sep-19

I proudly present to you all Mountain Pass Raceway the build from the very beginning. The table layout was originally an HO scale train setup I was working on and got bored with.

Well I got bored with that and tore it down and brought my childhood dreams to life.

Watch with interest as on my board at the moment is the same filler I will be using to get different heights for the track.

Some of the vehicles I have to run. Some Artin some AFX and some Carrera Go. Really surprised with the details on the Go cars.

Got my adjustable power supply and 1974 Aurora adjustable controllers. Built a couple small drivers stations.

Laying some foam insulation for scenery. Gonna go with a desert style road race with mountains. I like where this is going.

Started to cover the foam with thin wire screen and paper mache. Using brown filler/wrapping paper and a mix of 60% school glue and 40% water. It's coming to life and I'm loving it.

Got 2 areas of the mountains pretty well finished with the covering, still think I'm gonna plaster over top for additional strength and better detail. But so far so good.
