WHO Racing Season 2027 - woodcote - 8th-Sep-26

Our 2027 season equals this year's record of 33 events at the Barn, with exactly the same events on the calendar. There are some tweaks to the dates. The three WHO Digital GT Championship Wednesdays revert to the third Wednesday of the month, two weeks after the monthly HO race. The WHO Goodwood Revival returns to its usual slot in September, with the Digital Test Night moving back to a jam-packed August. Both July and August see four events at the Barn - another action-packed summer holiday programme, which has proved very popular over the past two years.

Race fees remain at £3 adults / £2 under-16s on Wednesday nights and £6 adults / £4 under-16s for the Digital Saturdays. The Slot Rally GB Championship event in July is hosted by the club - fees and regs will be publicised in due course by the Slot Rally GB organisers.

More details about our WHO Slot Rally, Scalextric Digital and HO scale formats and regulations for next season will follow very soon.

There may also be occasional Friday evening sessions at the Barn over the next year or two. We'd like these to be a chance to try out new stuff that club members want to share. Carrera Digital, 4-lane analogue and Carrera Hybrid are all possibilities - as is some 1/28 scale RC racing, the public debut of SlotNav (see here) and some slot car hill-climbing. Expect a flat £5 entry for these extra evenings.

WHO Slot Rally 2026

This will be our fourth season of slot rally events at the Barn. We keep to the four regular events in January, April, July & October, plus a return of the popular Dakar Rally-Raid fun night in August. To cap a busy summer of rally events, we look forward to hosting a round of the 2027 Slot Rally GB Championship at the Barn on Saturday 24 July (to be confirmed)...

New for 2027 is the WHO Slot Rally Championship, running to WHO RTR rules. Slot Rally GB cars are welcome to battle for the rally win, but don’t score points. We continue to run three classes - Classic, 80s & 90s and Modern.

We also have a new Rally HQ system, where drivers can register their cars in advance and groups input times direct from the stages via their phones. It makes the whole process quicker and easier. Look out for a QR code to register the details of your cars. Huge thanks to Kev for developing this new system.

Club cars and controllers are always available at the WHO Slot Rally events and members often have suitable cars for sale - ranging from perfectly competitive retro Scalextric and SCX models at £10-£20, right up to the latest pro-rally models from SRC, Scaleauto etc.

Mike D also has a range of tyres that he produces, which are particularly useful for the older models where the rubber may have hardened or perished. They cost £3 a pair and are available at the club nights.
