Scalextric/LEGO Mad Max Pursuit Special - Jamie - 3rd-Aug-26

Being not only a Scalextric and LEGO enthusiast, but also a Mad Max aficionado, I thought it'd be interesting to try and knock-up a version of Max's V8 Pursuit Special.....you know, the sexy black one with the (sadly fake) Weiand supercharger.
I used a Skyline R-35 chassis for the job, and also modified some wheels from a LEGO Mercedes F1 kit to fit, too.
The bodywork is a coloured mismatch of LEGO bits, so when it was put together, I sprayed it all satin black.
It's actually a prototype/lash-up, really, just to see if it could be done and be functional, the answer to which is 'yes' on both counts. So a better, *proper* version is incoming at some point - just as soon as I've got through the dozens of other Scalextric/LEGO/RC Car shaped projects that I've simultaneously got going on

To be honest, it was more of an experiment, really (having just, at the time, re-bodied an RC car chassis with a LEGO Land-Rover style body), so it was a *bit* of a lash-up.
I intend to do a better version at some point.
Only trouble is, it's a portly little beast - LEGO is actually heavier than you'd think.
