Jamie's Nürburg-thing - Jamie - 3rd-Aug-26

Right, good morning chaps!
Now, I'm so new here, the paint is still wet.
But I thought I'd share the latest incarnation of my layout.
As I mentioned in my 'Introduce Yourself'  post, almost a year ago, I was gifted 5 full sets of Scalextric, which were a mixture of old and new track/connector type, followed by yet another kit (an old but complete Rallye Internationale) gifted by someone else, then a Jaguar XJ220/Ferrari F40 kit practically *stolen* from a charity shop for 15 Sterlings, along with lashings of separate bits-&-bobs of track from eBay, and new stuff from the model shop in town.
Predictably though, it was a tad flakey and unreliable in places, specifically due to the older stuff, so I've now completely ditched that in favour new style track now.
I also plumbed in a custom LEGO train, because why not:







And here's a leisurely drive around:



I've since altered the track a bit, and added some landscaping to it, and it's still *not quite* finished yet, but I'll be sure to post an update when it is - along with an epic short film I've got planned.

Oh, absolutely! 
Getting stuck back into Scalextric is one of the best things that's happened to me in a long time.
