Ds controller - Ninco2000 - 24th-Mar-25

hello,

when i was working on my ninco track and the ds 35ohm regulator this afternoon, it started to smell a bit burning, later i noticed that there were also some sparks visible on the gold strip of the ds regulator,

how does this happen, can it be harmful, and what can i do about it?

i would like to hear it :)
