Well, I'm off the bottom!
For the third series running, I have struggled to get my cars to run well at the track where the pre-qualification race is held in Kelowna BC. This year, as last, I scraped through in one of the last places. So it is quite satisfying to see my BMW M6 rise four places up the rankings to finish 23rd in Round 1 in North California, and on the same lap as the 21st place car. The car stayed in it's slot whilst other around it in the race didn't. Hopefully, having a car that is "driveable" (according to host Jim Rose) will bode well for the series.

Watching your car, it doesn't look slow but losing a lot of time coming out of corners as though it's lacking a bit of rear traction.

Most of my track testing focused on that, but it still got the better of me (for the second year running)!

If you want to take notes
here's the thread of the previous winners so you can see underneath three of the quickest cars

Interesting proposals for next year's proxy:
11mm tyre width limit
True GT3 cars only (no Ford GTE)
Cars limited to ones currently in production (no Black Arrow)
Now I'm finally interested in entering that proxy, the no limit tyre rule was the #1 thing stopping me before.
On this basis I'm going to mention it tonight at the club and start working on a GT3 (I'll have to get one first).

I'm following next year's proposals with interest.
After mentioning joining the shootout next year I seem to be the only one who liked the idea in our club.
Not a problem, I like the idea of branching out to selected international proxies as well as supporting Graham's proxies (some of those international proxies Graham and others here already enter).
