FIA homologation form from 1979 -
ZeGas - 18th-Dec-24
I am trying to find the above, so far with little success.
In particular there is reference to it in the 1979 FIA Appendix J
Quote
The highest figure ln Art 6 of the homologation form (Art 4 of the old form) shall be taken into consideration for limiting the overall length of the coachwork.
End Quote
This relates to the maximum length of a vehicle for Group 5 Racing.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello Grant, The regulations used to be referred to as "Appendix J" so the links below might be what you are looking for. The document states that the "Front Part" should not exceed 20% of the wheel base and "Rear Part" not to exceed 20% of the wheelbase.

Thanks for pointing me to the right section, I had looked at the whole of Appendix J but missed that paragraph.
Probably because most of that section related to suspension, steering fuel etc. so I skipped over.
"Front Part" & "Rear Part" did not cross my radar.

Hello Grant, Yes it strange wording, presumably "legal speak".
At first I thought why did they not simply state a maximum length but then thought that the wheelbase basis was quite a good arrangement.
