Gearing - bowley - 1st-Oct-24

Hi Ion Scaleauto rs200 the gearing was 9.27 with 20000rpm 285cm/g motor . The new version has 18000rpm 320cm/g motor. My build is 20000rpm 216cm/g Scan motor so I wondered if anybody can tell me what the difference between the 2 rs200's would be to drive. Thanks

Gearing and motor torque /rpm are  can of worms
You list 3 motors

1. "Ion" 20,000 rpm 285 g/cm .
2. "New" 18,000 rpm 320 g/cm
3. "My" 20,000 rpm 216 g/cm -

However , you quote  ratio of 9.27 which is a long way from a ratio  of approx 3.0  that would normally be fitted to a car.
You a trading off revs, torque and weight so a simple answer is not possible.

RE: Gearing - Kevan - 7th-Oct-24
