The Riverhampton - KensRedZed - 21st-Sep-24

I would like to offer a huge thank you to Jason for opening this area up to our club.

A few members still have some details to iron out like choosing an alias. That being said, I'll start with some pics of the the race from last Thursday (Sept 19, 24) at the Riverhampton track.

There were seven of us in attendance. The cars are positioned where they finished in the race. Where you see more than 7-cars on the track, a backup was used to finish the race.

First class to race was Trans Am. Mostly stock Scalex/Pioneer cars with aluminum wheels and urethane tires.

Next up were the scratch built pre-war cars. These cars are very cool to see going down the track. Like a moment out of history. One of the Auto Unions had a bad crash and hit the floor. The driver just blew the dust off the braids and kept right on racing. They look fragile. But they're not.

The next class we raced was Slot.It DTM. Achtung Baby! Slot.It cars always drive well.

One of the Opels had a front body screw come loose and drop out the bottom during a race. The car sounded like it hit a wall. But it was still in the slot. The driver had to use two hands to pry the car from the track. The body screw was reinstalled. About a lap later a few other things decided to come loose.

The last class to race was Revoslot GT. They're very easy to drive.

This is my first race report. My apologies if it's a little boring.

I look forward to being able to post the screen shots of each race after everyone chooses an alias, and/or creates an account.

Pics of the two tracks we race at will be posted shortly.

Thank you very kindly for looking,
Ken

If you do regular race reports you'll probably develop it into a regular theme, every reporter is different and that's what makes them interesting. Thumbup
