RSM Tyre Truer accessories - Kevan - 4th-Mar-23

A couple of addons for the RSM tyre truer in line with Gregs work on the Tire Razor

I used to have a spring under the adjustment knob with a washer, this helped slow down the machine backing off and my truer was like this for a few years!

A couple of months ago I decided to put a nyloc nut on the thread which locked the cut in place and made truing tyres much easier.  I used a small spanner to hold the nut when making adjustments but seeing Gregs indexed knob cover for the Tire Razor immediately brought a simple idea to mind, a 3D printed downstop lock to fit over the nyloc...this works great!

Next useful accessory was an indexed and larger diameter knurled adjustment knob cover.

RSM Truer Knob Cover fits straight over the original adjustment knob. 

The indexing on the knob cover will make it easier to make adjustments.

When used with the downstop lock will improve the usability of your RSM Slot car tyre truer.

I printed this one in Prusament recycled PETG with the indexing on the top and supports on the plate.

Once printed I painted the indexing and numbers with acrylic paint, once dry it was rubbed on wet & dry paper on a flat surface  to remove the overpaint.
