Jaguar XJ220 - Have you ever wondered?? -
Scuderia_Turini - 17th-Mar-22
Hello all, apologies for the click-bait title, I don't usually stoop that low.
I have often wondered why Scalextric chose to put a co-driver in their XJ220. Have Googled several times to see if one ever competed in a rally (traditional discipline requiring co-driver) but have never found anything. Yes, XJ220 occasionaly participate in modern day vanity events but the Scalextric crew are proper race-crew. I believe that every Scalextric XJ220 has the same interior.
Does anyone have any info as to why Scalextric did this?
Leo

It’s weird, because Scalextric rally models of that era - Lancia 037, for example - have no co-driver.

I was under the impression that slot car manufacturers don't make mistakes. But, I have been wrong before.
1/32 people talk 32-times quieter than we do. You need to find a 1/32 interviewer and camera man to get the passenger's story. Maybe he's only confirming a pizza order at the next stop over? Or a new recipe for chilli?
It's amazing what the imagination can do. Okay, maybe a glass of wine too.
