Auto World customer support - KensRedZed - 16th-Feb-22

I recenty bought a very cool Butch Leal Camaro that had a blem. It looks like a hot iron got too close to the body when someone installed the glass.

I sent an email to AW about it. They requested a pic.

Within minutes of sending a pic, I get a reply with a shipping notice and a tracking number for a complete new replacement. Wow!

Auto World customer support is fantastic!

Cheers,
Ken

Great result - but would have been better if QC had caught it first.

Mistakes will always happen. It's a part of life.

I end up with a new car, and a spare chassis.

I'm in the market for another body from Auto World for the spare chassis. That green 69 Camaro looks sweet.  Thumbup

Auto World maintains a good customer service reputation.

It seems to be a win-win situation in the end.

Glad you got a replacement. AW bodies are what the sweetness is.

The glass is probably installed by machines. The whole thing probably has a lot of automation. So it would be easy to miss.

The body doesn't look that bad to me, maybe trim the plastic if sticking out and touch up with marker? Maybe even do a repair with jbweld?

Thanks for the suggestions, CBwho.  Thumbup

Another friend suggested that side-pipes would likely cover the blem. I intend to search through my junk drawers for a few thin, chrome sprues. Hopefully I'll get lucky.
