Thought-command slot car racing in the city of the future - CMOTD - 13th-Jul-21

Check out this exhibit at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed. LINK

I don't understand a word of the technical stuff but is this the future of slot racing?

Hi there! It certainly was feasible, and worked! But after a while it was difficult to stay focused!
With prolonged training, it would be possible to directly control the speed as you drive the track, but because this was used by the general public, there wasn't much time for them to have much training, so we put a speed limit on the cars - nothing as distracting your focus as getting annoyed having to pick up the cars.... again! ;-)

If you want to see it in action it  was featured on ITV4's programme 'Goodwood Future Lab' a few nights ago. Still available on catch up till August 21st.
