Some very nice cars there Johnno! I particularly like the Sideways Huracáns and the Slot.it Group C cars like the Lancia - they are not too powerful or torquey - and a joy to drive and to tweak. Start another thread and I'm sure people can chip in with ideas and links.

Steve

Few months back I had a random phone call from a bloke who turns out lives half hour away from me. He has just got back from a two month cruise so will be catching up next few weeks when my track arrives. He has some mates that come up from Sydney and Newcastle etc.

Just need to catch up with everyone now. As the saying goes, build it and they shall come.

Howdy, thanks and yes I think there are quite a few good ones, I really like the Huracan's. I am sure with some tyre and a few other upgrades they will be a blast to run.

And yes I shall check forum first before creating a Car Hints, Tips and Tweaks thread in case a similar one exists which I think it would but anyway, it shall be fun.

The stock tyres on the Huracans are pretty decent, IMO the best stock tyres provided on any make for running on routed tracks. YMMV Bigsmile
(actually Thunderslot also have great stock tyres).

Well, postman left me one small box that I was expecting, here's the nice haul all together in one photo, which doesn't do them justice, however I have posted these previously individually, thought I would do one larger photo

Update with every car now on the shelves. Just finally finished the shelving and pretty well filled them, now I need to build another two to keep in front of the growing collection.

RE: Cars bought by members in 2019 - Johnno - 10th-Oct-19

Having the ARC PRO powerbase I have selected the SLOT.IT CA10L-SSD - BMW McLaren F1 GTR - Donington 1997 #27 this car is digital chipped and ready to go on digital tracks, so I shall give it a run.

From just the first few laps, my track design sucks... I can not get up to decent speeds let alone full throttle so hopefully it will behave much better on the MrTrax system when it gets here.

For now though I will just have to run it in slug mode (seriously slow).

This Carrera BMW M1 Procar was one I bought in the summer. The real car and the livery was one of my absolute favourites when I was 12 or 13 years old. It most definitely will get raced. I've taken it apart as an excuse to look at Carrera cars on another thread here. Johnno wasn't quite sure what Carrera cars are all about.

As for the fast cars and small track - that's how it works. The more high performance the cars, the more they need long straights and wider turns.

And the magnets taken out of them Rofl

Latest eBay purchase. A second hand Slot.it McLaren F1.

Absolutely gorgeous - and not to be mistaken for anyone else's on the track. Goes well too.
