Cox - one of my top 3 favourite producers (F1's) - Anthony B - 4th-Apr-19

Being a child of the fifties, the startup of slot car racing is in my blood. Cox, with the others being Monogram and Revell, are my top 3 favourite producers from that period.
Sharing a few of my cars, starting with the F1's

They still look good today.

Part 2 my Cox mini collection, are the 'Sports Cars'. Since I was a boy  the Lotus 40 just had that je ne sais quoi   Sun

However I only got mine a few years ago, with a few others: (Both 1/24 and 1/32nd)

But then I do love as I said Monogram, Revell, Tamiya, Russkit, AMT , K&B..... sigh!

Those all look great!  I must say that the #22 Ford GT might be the nicest one Ive ever seen! Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup

Is #22 1:24 scale?  It looks a bit "long" but may be the photo-angle.  I have only ever seen the 1:32 version and that looked great.

Thanks for the compliments!!

Yes that no 22 Gt 540 is 1/24th - the no 23 is 1/32nd.

Cheers Anthony,
Have Googled and other (1:24)pictures look ok.

My personal favourite Ford GT40 body is the Atlas 1:32 version, having the bug/wind deflector on the bonnet. Having said that I have an affection for the Monogram version of the early car with blue bonnet.

I had a nice Cox 1:32 but gave it away about 20 years ago.

Have look on FB - for Tom Dolans posts - Linky Atlas

He put up a pic of an atlas Ford GT that I have never seen before - really really nice - I would love to lay my hands on one...

Hello Anthony,
Yes that looks nice. I see differences from mine. Some vent detail on the engine cover and the spot light mounting below the nose is moulded. Also the front wheel arches have bits that look like they would be part of the air-dam that the blue-bonnet car photos show. I don't see the oil-filler (and the bug deflector) that are on my two. Also the headlights apertures are closed off.
LASCM and Bernard's do not have that body neither as Atlas nor Marusan.
