Scalextric C4195 Lotus 25 #20 - 1962 British Grand Prix - Jim Clark. RRP £42.99. Available now.
The latest livery on the little Scalextric Lotus 25 is a particularly lovely one. It's a model of the car in which Jim Clark dominated the 1962 British Grand Prix - the final edition at Aintree. Pole position, fastest lap and a thumping win - it was only Clark's second Grand Prix victory...
As you can see in the Pathé News film, the front left wheel is a lighter colour than the rest. The Scalextric team consulted colour photographs from the race and conferred with Classic Team Lotus to confirm the wheel was yellow. A nice period oddity.
One criticism of the Scalextric Lotus 25 has been a less-than-perfect driver figure - too big and too hunched. The Pendle Team have commissioned a Penelope Pitlane replacement, which is now available...

That is a nice report, Andy and good work from Sean and his Pendle Slot Racing Team.
The driver figure update is really a huge improvement.
I think the 16,000rpm motor is a must for the nimble lightweight Clark Lotus.
