Racing Pace Cars - Ajalon - 23rd-Jan-21

I know I'm preaching to the converted, but I just wanted to say what I great experience slot car racing has become.
Although I have not long been a member of SlotRacer.Online I have used Scalextric for many years (too many I care to say), using ARC Air for some time, however, I liked the sound of racing multiple cars on the same track and changing lanes. So I have now upgraded to ARC Pro.
After converting my cars to digital using the EasyFit plug in chips, I set up a three car, ten lap race, against two pace cars using the Magic Arc App, pace cars on the front of the grid and my car on the second row.
I did think I was a good home racer, but now I'm having second thoughts!
When running analogue, with one car in each lane, I've realized that I concentrate mostly on my car and getting it round, but running in the digital format you constantly have to check on the other cars to decide, if and when, to change lanes, not to accelerate too much that you hit the car on the same lane in front etc.
Needless to say it took a few races and crashes before I managed to get the hang of the new system.

Welcome Wavegreen

That's exactly how I use pace cars - to practice and improve my digital race craft... There is a lot more to think about with other cars in the same lane! Even in the Scalextric app it's possible to load up 3 or 4 pace cars (all programmed together) and then patiently weave in and out of them. But the Magic app's pace car function is much more versatile.
