Shenanigans Raceway (Taree) -

Be warned, 27 photo's attached...
Well I think I have decided on a name for my track, this is a full Four Lane 1:24 scale modular MrTrax system with full timing system. Love the idea of infinitely expandable track by buying extra modules, unclip, move around, install and clip in new module. I can also take these modules to another track, e.g. yours, and combine all our modules into a mega track.. awesome idea I think.

Looking great John.

Thanks Jason, only taken two odd years to get things sorted and only came up with the name a few days ago.

Looks great!
Those last two pics suggest there's an alternative module to convert the layout from a big 4-laner to a monster 2-laner? If that's right, I think that's a great idea

Good catch there. You are the second person to actually pick this up

well done.
Yes that is correct indeed, that one module adds a whole new dimension to the track and literally drives all four lanes with two people with two lanes being driven in opposite direction as to normally run, makes interesting.

Got the track back upstairs, much appreciated the help Noel.
Here are three photos of another possible track design utilising all modules.

Here is a close up of that conversion module that converts the existing four lane track into a two lane track.

New track photos showing the new location for the overpass and straight. Being fully modular this was easy to do, gotta love the MrTrax track system.
Running clockwise from the drivers' stations on the far left hand side, relocated the Start/Finish Gantry approximately three quarters down the straight, one straight module from the first right hand turn to remove the cars drifting out and collecting the gantry legs, which works.
The drivers' stations are directly opposite the overpass now and gives 100% line of sight to the overpass itself and an even better line of sight for the long straight effectively 8,620mm (8.62meters) so the higher RPM cars (Revo, NSR) get some decent speed down the straight.
I've also decided to fix the Start/Finish Gantry issues with being too close to the track, so I've gone and ordered:
- Trackmate Racing Infrared Flood Bar
- Trackmate Racing Infrared LED Kit Pre-wired
- Trackmate Racing Infrared Wireless Track Call Button, arrr wireless track call, hell yes. This will also work in conjunction with the existing hard wired Track Call Button, so essentially two Track Call Buttons on the track.
Below are some photos of the new track layout, drivers station location, overpass etc.

Thanks mate, it is for weekly racing so there will be little to no scenery, saying that I've just printed, laminated and temporarily attached border advertising, with lots more to go for that.
I've just finished the new Start/Finish Gantry. As for the room, it is very boring, all slot car track, the main straight is just on 10metres long

the room as it was/is my loungeroom, who needs a large room like this for a TV and lounge anyway, so now I have a 10ftx10ft lounge/TV area which is big enough for TV and lounge.
