Alexis - I love how you have gone from nothing - to making some really useful items with your 3D printer.  very Inspiring!!

Since we've been locked down at home I've been pulling unfinished/abandoned projects out of drawers and at least making them run. I'll have to spend a day painting yet though.[attachment=6095][attachment=6096][attachment=6097][attachment=6098]

[attachment=6099]This conversion has been on or rather next to my bench for a long time. I just recently found wheels to allow me to put duallies on the back

[attachment=6100]Last night's project. I'm building, mostly just tuning this for an upcoming proxy. It is a stock Fly class. You're basically allowed to do the usual to turn a Fly from a toy into a race car.
Somebody before me had super glued the urethane tires on and I broke the wheel trying to get one off. I replaced the rear axle with upgraded parts and had to make inserts. I used NSR Supergrip tires as this will be a rubber only proxy.
As it sits this will comfortably lap my track in the 6s which is very respectable for an 18K Fly car.

Nice weather and the limited ability to get bits and pieces to work with have limited my working on slot cars lately. Plus now that the damn weather is so nice, Ronnie has me helping her in the garden. Never rains but it pours Tappingfoot

Anyway, I only have the one car properly on the go now and it's the BRM V16. Just needs the BRM badge (hopefully on the way from Colin (Wraith) soon, screen, an oil filler cap and some front suspension details and it will be about done.Plasticard and balsa as ever. [attachment=6107]

I very much doubt that the July Bordo meet that it was built for will go ahead though. I can't see the lock down being that relaxed by then.

Looks Fantastic Gordon - your builds getting better and better...

Don and Samy need to move the race now - before the calender fills up later in the year....

They are still 'cautiously optimistic'!!

It may be best just to delay it until the December meet but no doubt, as the situation becomes clearer, they will decide what they think is best. In the meantime, I have nine open wheeler sitting here and it's only April Bigsmile
