Scalextric BMW Minis - a house class by butchering -
slotloco - 3rd-Mar-20
I knocked up 4 x Scalextric BMW Minis for wood track racing some time back.
One of the quickest, roughest, dirtiest builds I have done, but by jingos are they fun to race
as a house class. (IROC to USA readers)
I really must get around to a more permanent motor fixing method than hot glue
. . . but so far they have held together.

Yo Slotloco,
An inspired choice for club-cars !
What voltage are the motors rated at?
Watch out for global warming melting the hot glue ...

Hi Leo,
bought a long time ago, but pretty sure they are 12V.
They have held together for over 1,000 laps per car so far.
As you can see in the video, they fair stonk along, with about 25 grams lead on the chassis pan, they just stick and don't roll.
But getting the gearing 8:28 and small diameter wheels was a necessary part of the formula.
