It's been a while, but we're back.
This week the
Library opens up a brand new shelf for a manufacturer that was founded in 1946, and is still going strong today.
Faller are obviously best known for their HO railway buildings and accessories, but they also made the Auto Motor Sport system which is featured in several of the eleven catalogues we've posted up. What is less well known is that they also briefly produced 1:32 and 1:24 scale cars and track.

Many thanks to rallyhub for the scans and for his patience.

Somewhere in a dusty, poorly lit corner of an old hard drive I found some more Scalextric catalogues, which I believe were supplied by Richard Winter a good while ago, so many thanks to him, as they help us to reach a significant milestone.
It has become a recurring theme, me finding things I meant to do ages ago, so I can only apologise for that, and thank everyone who has contributed to this project and shown admirable patience.
Anyway, I've now added Scalextric catalogues from 1985, 1990, 1994, 1995, and 1996, plus 27 Circuits for Scalextric which I believe is also from 1985.
All of which gives us a complete set of Scalextric catalogues right from 1960 through to 2000, or forty years.
Our ambition is to make that sixty years, and with Richard's help and kind contributions, I hope we won't keep you waiting too long for that next milestone, a completely comprehensive catalogue cornucopia.

I've just posted seven more Scalextric publications in the Library.
[attachment=34869]
The first is a
1960 Instruction Manual. I have absolutely no idea where it came from, but if you sent it to me, thank you.
The second is a
Track Plans booklet from 1999, I think. Again I've no idea where it came from, I just found it one of my many external hard drives.
Next are four catalogues, the
50th Anniversary 2007 Edition, plus
2008,
2009 and
2010. These were kindly scanned and supplied by Rikorocket, so thanks to him.
Finally, there is the
60th Anniversary 2017 Catalogue, which I'm guessing was another one scanned and supplied by Richard Winter. That brings us up to a whopping 68 Scalextric publications, with just a few catalogues missing.

More additions to the Library, with eight more Ninco catalogues...
[attachment=34878]
The first is the
Collection '98-99 catalogue which was kindly sent to me by Suomen. It's unusual for Ninco to cover two years with one catalogue, especially when they already had a 1998 catalogue, and produced a 1999 catalogue too. An interesting addition.
Next are three catalogues which were kindly scanned by Hub, I think, so many thanks for that. The
2000 Catalogue, the
2001 Catalogue, and the
2003 Catalogue are all now added to our collection. In terms of ambition, these probably qualify as a maximum achievement on the catalogue scale, particularly the 2001 edition which weighs in with a massive 68 pages.
From that catalogue highpoint, I'm afraid the next four will unfortunately chart the demise, decimation, and denigration of Ninco as a slot car brand. If you have the heart to look, the
2012,
2013,
2014, and
2015 catalogues chart a sorry story for a company that was once a standard bearer in the hobby.
On a completely unrelated point, the FTP software I use to upload files tells me that I've transferred 1,723 files to the Library over the last two days. I might give it the night off in recognition of its hard work.

I've now added a bunch more publications to the Library, and I might have nearly caught up with the backlog that I'd allowed to build up.
- Miniature Autoworld
Miniature Autoworld was the rebranded version of Model Roads and Racing, a vintage British publication which dealt with modelling and collecting diecasts and slot cars.
- Stabocar
Stabocar was a German company which produced slot cars and track from 1963 to 1979.

We have now added nine new publications to the SCX section of the Library, including catalogues from 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2022, 2023 and 2024. With many thanks to Darren Troy Jantz for supplying them.
