I'll be qualifying all four classes today, starting with the two smaller groups: Micro Scalextric 2019 and Ceramic Inline 6.0...

Micro Scalextric 2019 Qualifying Results

As always, each car was warmed up and then had three timed runs, at least one on each lane. These were the results...

Congratulations to Iain on a very rapid 0.409 TQ run, with a speed of 12.397 through the finish line...

Ceramic Inline 6.0 Qualifying Results

Five Tyco 440X2 chassis (four wide and one narrow), plus two Life Like M trucks took part in the first qualifying runs for this new class...

Congrats to Nico on his TQ and for preparing a very neat Tyco - definitely the car to beat. Top speed was 11.801 through the finish line.

The race isn't won yet, but Nico's car shows there's potential to unleash in all these cars!

Street Stock and Can Motor Super Stock 6.0 Qualifying will follow later...

I just can't seem to bring the MS 2019 up, you gotta tell me one day how you do it!!!!!!

More than happy with the Blue Alien F40 performance so far, as I had no idea what the other Teams would come up with in this new class......

Thanks Nico and congratulations to you on your TQ in the new class

As to my fast MS 2019 chassis, it really is just luck at the point of sale! Confirmed by the performance of
the Aston - it sounded fast when I tested the motor, but otherwise there was no prep, just some slip on rear tyres.
 
Are there any tuning tips you can share for the 440X2? I thought my superbird motor sounded fast, but not so...

A lot of YouTube Videos on what to do with the Tyco 440. Also tested a LifeLike but never came close to the Tyco.

This was another fascinating run through of new cars - with a few well-developed Micro Scalextric benchmarks to beat...

Congrats on a second TQ for Nico - albeit by the smallest of margins possible!

Micro Scalextric Street Stock Qualifying Results

These seemed really slow after the other classes! However, it was probably the quickest Street Stock qualifying session we've had - and sets up a really exciting race tomorrow...

Huge congrats to Nico on a hat-trick of TQs today!

Nico's Jag wasn't the quickest car through the finish line at 7.748 mph. Jane went 7.846, which will be interesting if she can hook up a perfect start. One car went even quicker - a huge 8.373 mph for Jeremy. Plenty of Smokey Joe issues as usual - but if tomorrow's warm-up sorts Jeremy's motor, then Nico will be under huge pressure from Round One.

Not 100% decided on the timings for tomorrow, but we'll finish with either Street Stock or the new Can class in the evening.

As Nico's sponsor for tires, I will of course follow the races closely.
An interesting starting field takes part, some vehicles I already know from seeing and
others are visually totally out of the ordinary, I'm really impressed!

Of course I keep my fingers crossed for all participants and am really curious about
the outcome of the races.
