RE: Autumn Endurance - InterSeries Proxy - Mike174 - 7th-Nov-22

Thanks guys, we at NERCS enjoy seeing the proxy cars come to our little track. We don't Race for championships or anything at our club as its mainly for fun and we only run nsr and slot.it components in our Libre class, so to see some ultra fast cars is always an eye opener.
There were some absolute missiles in all of the classes. A normal club car would be doing well to 21/22 laps in 2 mins and some were hitting 25. Very quick! Thanks again and we are looking forward to the next one!  Wrench Yes

Looks like you took fastest lap in Class D Brumos, nice work  Thumbup

Savage GT, you built 2 monsters and had two wins this weekend …..I’m always willing to trade a fast lap for wins if you would like.   Rofl It’s the only way Team Brumos RSR can win a championship this series.

RE: Autumn Endurance - InterSeries Proxy - Graham - 8th-Nov-22

Wavegreen Good Evening,
well another great round, many thanks to our NERCS lads at Sunderland for a thrilling Round.

Pitlane Review  (pt1)
Round 3
The cars were run mid afternoon to later into the evening. The first two Classes were run as the sun was setting, and the latter classes ran as darkness fell, and that probably resulted in some incidents as the evening progressed.

Modern Endurance 24HRS
Once again the BMW V12 of Savage GT prevailed to take 1st place, with the Mercedes CLK of RoadRunners taking 2nd place and it was great to see that the Corvette CR6 of Team Cube seems to found its feet at last, finishing 3rd.

Classic Le mans
Once again the Ferrari 250GTO of Mountain View was way ahead of the field and took first place, AC Cobra of Bangers Racing put in another great run to secure 2nd place, and surprisingly the  Aston Martin DBR1 of Roadunners at last seems to have found its old form with a 3rd place.....but will it last
Sadly the MGA of Green Star Racing had a poor run due to a broken rear body mount, it was temporarily fixed but not soon enough to make an impact.

Daytona
Team Tatters BMW 320i returned to form taking 1st place, Courtney Sport's Camaro did a respectable 2nd place (even after its Guide shoe had been replaced with a slimmer and shorter NSR replacement). And the very reliable Ruscillo Racing BMW M1 landing a valuable 3rd place. The Lancia BMC of Bangers Racing only managing a 4th Place on this smaller circuit.

InterSeries
The Ferrari 512M of Savage GT once again put in a excellent run to take 1st place, the Mclaren M6A of Brumos RSR was so close behind the Ferrari it could have easily taken the top spot. The Porsche 917/10 of Courtney Sport having to settle for 3rd place this time. Ruscillo Racing's Ford GT40 found some improved performance to take 4th outrunning the Ferrari 330 of ALS Racing. Sadly another casualty of the night was the Lifeboats Racing Porsche 917/30 after a heavy collision into the barrier it was retired with a broken guide holder. And inevitably Rokers Roar Lola T260 lost its front spoiler.

Pitlane Championship Review (pt2) shortly

RE: Autumn Endurance - InterSeries Proxy - Graham - 8th-Nov-22

Pitlane Review The Championship
some very close racing in this series, so Teams fortunes change from Round to Round.

Modern Endurance 24HRS
The BMW V12 of Savage GT seems to be comfortably in front of the field, with Road Runners Merc and Team Tatters AMG Merc running 2nd and 3rd. However the Corvette CR6 of Team Cube has put in a couple of great runs in the last 2 Rounds, so perhaps this could ba a challenge for a podium position.

Classic Le Mans
Mountain View Ferrari 250GTO looks like it has the upper hand in this class, gradually opening up a respectable lead. Bangers Racing's AC Cobra also seems to have a comfortable 2nd place. There seems to be a closing of the gap between 3rd, 4th & 5th place cars, so this could be an interesting battle to come.

Daytona
Ruscillo Racing BMW M1 maintaining the lead over this class, as the following cars squabble for positions. All the top 5 cars in this class are running very competitively.

InterSeries
Courtney Sport's Porsche 917/10 looks very strong but is under short term pressure from the Mclaren of Brumos RSR, but also perhaps further into the Rounds against the 3rd placed Ferrari 330 of ALS Racing and the Ferrari 512M of Savage GT which lost out on the 1st Round penalty. After the next Round this week at Woodland Fort, the Ferrari will be returned to the Team for a Motor swop to allow it to compete in the remaining Plastic track Rounds (as the current motor has excessive Magnetic Traction)  It has been agreed that the replacement motor will be the Slot it 23k S-Bell but no other changes are allowed.

Team Points
Savage GT have been catapulted into the overall lead with the twin win from the last Round, but all the top 7 teams are still looking very strong, and it is still very early on in the series.

Car breakdowns
Green Star Racing - MGA
The body mount has been refitted by markem at NERCS before being added to the box of cars travelling onto Woodland Fort.
Courtney Sport - Camaro
The NSR guide was removed and the car sent onto me to work on the original guide which was fitted. I have taken some of the thickness out of the guide blade and removed the ribs which were protruding, also shortened the guide by a couple of mm and rounded the front edge of the blade to avoid catching.
So hopefully the car will run OK on the remaining Rounds.
Lifeboat Racing - Porsche 917/30
Also sent onto me to replace the broken NSR droparm, which has now been done.

Both these two latter cars are now on their way to Woodland Fort on Next Day delivery.

So I am sure it will be a thrilling Thursday night Round at Woodland Fort, looking forward to following it.

RE: Autumn Endurance - InterSeries Proxy - AdeC - 11th-Nov-22

Well done to all the podiumites and thank to Woodland Fort for hosting

A 3rd place for the comparatively narrow De Tomaso against the group 5's in class C is more than I'd have hoped for so I'm pleased with that! At the other end of the spectrum, it looks like my Class B MGA is still struggling after its body post issues.

RE: Autumn Endurance - InterSeries Proxy - BAracer - 11th-Nov-22

First podium for me!

Chuffed with that.

RE: Autumn Endurance - InterSeries Proxy - Makem - 11th-Nov-22

Well done to all at Woodland Fort, thank you.

I didn't feel any pain when me head fell off, but thanks for gluing it back on  Rofl

Must be something in the air, two podiums for NERCS member, Jim Scott (Lifeboats Racing), not like us at all  Wrench
