Thanx Kevan ive never used tubing over axle before but now i know how ill use it on driveshafts too.

I prefer to call it axle in tubing as you put the axle in the tubing rather than the tubing over the axle.

Another axle question. Does it make diference using calaberated ,rectified ballanced etc axles or using titanium carbon fibrd . Or is a normal axle good enough.

That depends on what type of racing you do.

Having a race with a few friends or family members after dinner usually doesn't require a huge budge or special parts. Standard axles will usually work quite well.

Breaking the sound barrier or the speed of light requires a few upgrades like better axles, wheels, tires, motors, etc.

Racing in a competitive club requires even MORE upgrades. Especially when it's all about winning.  Bigsmile

I use drill blanks but have used 3/32 piano wire and when I could get them mold tool ejector pins.

As long as the rod is straight and fits inside the brass tube and a decent fit in the wheels it'll be fine.
