With each piece of track, turn it over and using a flat bladed screwdriver, press all the small silver retaining tabs down firmly and this will certainly help, ys I had Scalextric SSD and once I did this I had zero issues and NO power taps were needed on a 30 metre track.

Power taps, power taps, power taps is all I see and hear and power taps are not ALWAYS the answer, these power tap posts need to slow down considerably and stop making considerably more work unnecessarily for people.

Hello Stu,
I have no experience of the solution that Pendle Slot Racing created but it seems a great idea to me.  When I had Ninco track I pushed stripped wire down in between the rail and the track surface using a flat blade screwdriver and the Pendle items do the same trick. They can be inserted without lifting the track sections :-)

Hhmmmmm.  Interesting.   Cool  I need to get some stuff from Pendles soon, so I'll add one of those to the order.

Thanks, Leo.

For the sake of continuity of the thread, I now have some of Pendle's strips to fit.  If I remember, I'll post the result here when I get 'round to fitting them - which could be a while as I've got loads of cars I'm currently working on.
