OK,
I said "no more proxies" for me...
..but, it could be indeed "be a laugh".
I have 2 of these scaley inline sidecars fitted with :
- slot.it S-can motors
- slot.it guides
- steels axles
- alloy rear wheels
I have tried to get these working well enough to run around in practice at a club just for a lark about (but never got anywhere close)
Neither of my clubs use these so so it would not detract from my club racing.
So, depending on the construction rules, I am tentatively up for this
If anyone does not have experience of these, they are much much MUCH harder to stabilise than any car you have ever tried to tune.
- Very short guide length
- No front wheels. (Just one plastic functionless disc on a floating drop arm)
- no way to lower the CofG
- no way to widen the rear axle width.
The "power rangers" liveries seemed to go cheapest on fleabay back when I was looking for one.
Easy to repaint.. Concors?

Hi Alan ,thanks for the input ,I was mulling over and rules ,perhaps as couple of standard classes for the older and newer types and then an anything goes class ,just to see if any mods can make them fly " not literally " .
We could also have concors for the e event ,I'll jot some stuff down and this it open for suggestions and a date .

I have several 60's bikes but they will be useless - I will send a bike in - as we are moving shortly - sadly cannot offer my track at the moment.

Crikey ,this taking off a bit ,should be a hoot
I had better get down to sorting out a date and rules ,any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmmm...may have to start drawing something up to 3D print a racing chassis

Think about standard class (as bought motors and chassis) and modified - printed chassis ,upgraded motor etc , and then vintage class - but that I think should be standard - my 2 cents of ideas.

Hi Anthony ,yes I think a standard class for the two type of scalextric outfits and a do as you want class .
It might be great to see how fast these could be made to lap a track !!!!

Are we really thinking "multiple classes" ?
Wouldn't it be easier just to allow basic upgrades?
These things are genuinely horrible in factory trim,
Probably the worst thing ever put on a slot track.
Yes, even worse than the star wars "speeders"

oh my , don't change the goal posts now guys
I've gone and bought two of these bloody things
so I'm hoping for a minimum two classes , stock class and a modified class
tbh Alan is correct about the handling if i remember correctly
