just revised the list of predicted wins,
alot of support for BARacer's Mclaren .........obviously some going for the outside chances
It won't influence my decision on the penalties, which will be made with the honour of the competition in mind

I think my M1 is going to be fairly disadvantaged on plastic, and my history of making Scalextric cars go well with stock chassis isn't great !
I am personally expecting to be mid field at best this time around, with some luck and a fair wind there might be an occasional lower step podium appearance
I guess we are in the same boat as my Black Arrow was thrown together over night to the point where I hope it runs in the right direction during testing. The only thing proven on the car are the tires which where removed from the BMW 2.8CS that ran in our last proxy.

Class C

This could possibly be the highlight of my slot career...what do you all know about my Mclaren that I have missed!

So here is the Technical data list again if you want to change your expectations
TBH that just re-enforces my decision. The Slot It body is lighter than the NSR, and I had both as club racers at one point. The Slot It version was my preferred option for that.

Good morning
I would normally do the presentation photo session today, but the weather outside is very dark with heavy rain, so may postpone this perhaps Tomorrow or Monday latest.
We are still waiting for the last car to arrive which is the replacement Ferrari 412P from ALS Racing, I have not received any direct confirmation from him that it is in the post, so perhaps this is not going to be entered after all ?
In regard to the impending penalties for the non conforming cars, I decided that in order to entirely fair without prejudice (perhaps brought about by running the cars) it would be based purely on measurement.
So based on the criteria as stated in the rules that the penalties would be allocated on a proportional basis (ie how much the cars deviate from the rule)
Penalties for violation of the rules
If the entire chassis and motor had been lower than the 1.5mm track clearance these cars would have incurred a -5% time penalty.
BARacer Mclaren will incur a 5 point fixed penalty for not decorating lightweight interior.
And -2% time penalty for each round for the track clearance violation for the motor.
Scott Sports Marcos LM600 will also incur a -3% time penalty for the track clearance violation for the motor (basically the motor fitted is of significantly higher magnetic downforce than the motor used by BARacer and is closer to the track).

Event 2 ALS
Event 3 BARacer (only Class C entry!)

Class A Team Cube Ferrari F355

Good evening
looks like the last of the predictions have been cast.
The good news is that I had an email from ALS and the Ferrari 412P is somewhere between the US and me, can it get here before the testing ends.....
But I won't inflict any more stress on ALS by giving him a late arrival penalty, as I rejected his Thunderslot Lola first entry, so rather then be subject to a whole pile of penalties he opted for a replacement car (just hope this one meets the specifications).
So we have an update on the predictions
[attachment=34075]
Tomorrow morning if no other "Wager" entries are received, I will give my own prediction.
Obviously I have seen, touched and measured the cars etc, so will not be eligible to win the voucher, but before I test them on the track I will give my best guess at the outcome.
