Back to doing a few clear bodies. I will remove the tape so I can spray the interior. Maybe not the Select 2 D as it has yellowed.
I really do like the Chappy mags . Pics don’t do them justice.

Almost done with decals, then clear. I think I did pretty well for my first airbrush paint job.

Whats on my bench ? Various piggin' Scalextric cars.
Once again I got suckered in by the looks and was overly optimistic about the work required to make a decent non mag car from them  Angry .... Still I have managed to delegate the hard work on one pair to Angelo Amato  Bigsmile Thank you kind sir  Yes

Anthony, If you can find a nice sunny (all day) window, let the "yellowed" butyrate body sit there for a week or so....it will make a considerable difference.

Cheers

A new tool arrived today, a cheap chinese lathe.
Duties intended are turning down plastic wheels to make inserts and whatever other uses I can find.
7 speed via speed switch on the PSU At £28 delivered one thought it worth a punt  Bigsmile

@Savage GT - let us know how that machine turns out - it looks like it might not have the power to keep a wheel turning while scraping it down. I'm intrigued and if it works I can use one!!

Transforming a Ninco Porsche 356 into a goodwood revival race car

Wet sanded p1000-1500
Polished with commandant compound

Waxed the body with a DuPont wax tin from the seventies, best i ever had!

I stopped work on the lexan bodies. Not sure why ?. I have taken Chris's idea and the 2D now resides on a sunny windiwsill. However I am back to resin work and cars that have been on my to do list for years - except for the 330 LMB which is new from Betta and Classic. The Ford is a John Bacon body I have had for 30 years plus.

The 375mm is an awful awful casting from Spain that will require a huge amount of fettling to get it half decent. The counter to that is the 166 is an Ocar casting from about 15 years ago as is one of the best I have ever seen....

The 330 and the J have my interiors test fitted at the moment. The 330 carries an atlas motor and the J a Revell ladder chassis. WIll probably fettle in a Pittman 196b onto that as that combo works very well.

In for a penny as they say......
