I saw the great thread about 'oil drum litter bins' and that inspired me to add a couple dumpsters and trash barrels to my slot track. 

The barrels are made from old pens that I cut up into 1/32 scale barrel size pieces and then wrapped them with a couple of wire loops and painted them blue. I added a trash bag made from the very thin orange plastic bags that come with our morning newspaper and threw in some scale trash. 

I found some photos of dumpsters on our trash collector website (Good's Disposal) and made little replicas using bits and pieces of wood and plastic. I painted them green and then dirtied them up with paint and grime. The lids are made of bits of plastic and are hinged so you can throw in more trash and empty out what's in there when it gets full.
