That looks really smart. Wrench

I know the base is 5ft x 10ft, but what's the overall size of the track?
Thank you very kindly, Jason and Hub,

We have yet to measure it. But it looks between 45' and 50' feet in length.
The outside borders are all buttoned up and painted. Timing system is in and works great. Technically I can host races.

Things still to be done.

1) Inside grass and checker cork to inside loops, etc
2) Install hay bails double high on the outside of the inner loop
3) Install cloth skirt to hide the base
4) Create face for pit row garage
5) Make a fancy cover for the finish line

The bases for the grassy areas were completed just before I went away.

A box containing 140 bales of hay, a truck load of tire-stacks, and a gaggle of orange safety cones came in while I was away. This next part should be fun.

Further progress on the scenery details. The rock formations were installed and tinted. The earth coloured base was painted in various areas, and awaits the installation of grass.

Grass was planted and watered every day. A few trees probably wouldn't hurt. It's coming along.

Some trees would give a nice effect. Thumbup
With the workbench moved into the next room. We have space for driver's pit stations. The drivers also need space to eat our usual slot car delicacy, pizza.

The speaker wires were cleaned up with some self adhesive conduit.

The Hot Rod parking sign was moved to the correct wall. It now applies.  Thumbup
